A spectacular romantic wedding day is offered with Dartmouth Steam Railway and cruising the magical River Dart aboard our flagship the “Dart Explorer”. We are licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. Two wonderful venues are available for your wedding ceremony.

Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway Booking Hall - can accommodate up to 150 guests.

Churston Station Booking Hall - can accommodate up to 50 guests, ideal for the smaller more intimate ceremony.

Both venues can be be prepared with seating for the formal ceremony, a table for the Registrar and fresh flowers as required. A red carpet will lead you to the Ceremony.

On our railway your guests can sample the delights of glorious South Devon scenery bordering the coasts around Torbay and down into the Dart Valley.

Whether your wedding is formal, informal, a large family gathering or small and intimate you can be assured of a wedding day that will be so enjoyed and remembered by all. There are many options for you to consider.

Joining your cruise

Your guests can embark/disembark at Dartmouth Kingswear or subject to tide, Totnes. Your Wedding Cruise may sail as far as Totnes, some 13 miles from Dartmouth taking in enchanting views of the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dame Agatha Christie's Estate, the villages of Dittisham, Stoke Gabriel and the quaint cottages of Duncannon.

Our designated caterers will provide inspiring delicious dining using wonderful West Country Produce. Our very experienced and helpful staff have both passion and skill to make sure your day is superb.
